Ingredients

Meatballs:

1 large egg

1.5 pounds ground beef

1/4 c. seasoned breadcrumbs

1 clove garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 teaspoons dried parsley

1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

Dijon Gravy:

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

3 tablespoons salted butter

1 1/2 c. beef broth

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

1 c. milk

How to make Easy Meatballs in Dijon Gravy

Step 1: Combine the meatball ingredients (egg, ground beef, garlic, onion, dried parsley, allspice, nutmeg, milk, salt, and ground pepper) in a large bowl. You can either use a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment or your hands to knead the mixture.

Step 2: Using your hands or a cookie scoop, form the meat mixture into balls and place them on a baking sheet. Pop in the freezer for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Step 3: In a large skillet, heat some oil. Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs to the skillet and cook until all sides are browned and cooked through. Set the cooked meatballs aside when done.

Step 4: In a skillet, melt the butter. Once the butter has melted, stir in the flour until medium brown. Then, pour in the broth and simmer until the mixture has thickened. Now, add the milk along with the mustard and continue to simmer until the gravy is thick and creamy.

Step 5: In the sauce, add the meatballs and cook to warm the meatballs.
