EASY LAYERED TACO BAKE

This loaded with layers of tortillas, ground beef, and salsa con queso Taco Bake is super easy to whip up and ready in no time! Made with only five, this delicious layered taco bake is the perfect quick weeknight dinner that your family will surely love! Slice and serve with sour cream and some diced tomatoes on top for a simple meal that’s easy on the wallet! A huge bonus is this recipe is very versatile. Feel free to adjust according to your preference.

Ingredients

1 packet taco seasoning

1 lb ground beef

water as called for on the back of the seasoning packet (usually ¾ c. water)

1 ½-2 c. shredded Mexican cheese blend

½ c. salsa con queso

3 (8-”) flour tortillas

HOW TO MAKE EASY LAYERED TACO BAKE

Step 1: Cook the beef until brown, breaking the meat as it cooks. When done, drain the excess grease.

Step 2: According to the seasoning packet direction, add the taco seasoning and water to the beef. When done, turn the heat off, then add half a cup of the salsa con queso. Stir well until completely combined.

Step 3: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F. Using nonstick cooking spray, grease an 8-inch round baking pan.

Step 4: To the bottom of the prepared pan, layer the flour tortilla. Spread 1/3 of the ground beef taco filling over, then top with 1/3 of the shredded cheese. Repeat the same layers (tortilla, taco mixture, and cheese).

Step 5: Place in the preheated oven and bake the layered taco for approximately 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and slightly golden brown on the edges.

Step 6: When done, remove the layered taco bake in the oven, and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve. Enjoy!

Notes:

If desired, serve the layered taco baked with sour cream and some diced tomatoes on top.
