Easy Crescent Apple Dumplings

by Rebecca November 7, 2020

Prep Time: 20 mins | Cook Time: 45 mins | Serves: 16

This easy and quick dessert will transform your store-bought crescent rolls into a star! Buttery, flaky, sweet, and savoury crescent apple dumplings. Take those extra crescent rolls and it is time to make these lovelies. And don’t forget a big scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for a full-on experience!

This couldn’t get simpler, quicker, and the result will surprise you! Doughy, fruit-filled dumplings that are baked to perfection and add a sprinkle of sugar over for that extra crunch. A new star is born! My kids are crazy over these dumplings and I cannot blame them. These babies are baked in brown sugar and apple juice caramel sauce which I love so much! Not too sweet, just perfect! I enjoy every bits and piece and still want more!

Ingredients:

2 pkg (8 oz) crescent rolls

1 c butter

1 1/2 c brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp cinnamon

1 1/2 c 7-up (or other lemon soda)

2 granny smith apples (2 apples makes 16 dumplings)

How to make Easy Crescent Apple Dumplings

Step 1: Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with butter.

Step 2: Ready the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.

Step 3: Grab the apples and peel and core them. Slice the apples into 8 pieces and roll each slice in a crescent roll and add them into the prepared dish.

Step 4: Melt the butter in a skillet and add in the sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Continue to stir until the mixture has thickened. Pour this over the dumplings.
