Easy Crazy Chocolate Cake

by Rebecca January 26, 2021

Prep time: 15 mins | Cook time: 40 mins | Serves: 12 – 15

A dense yet super moist cake that is crazy chocolatey! For all the chocoholics out there, this one here is the real deal. Ready in under an hour, this easy Chocolate Cake is the one to beat! And the best part is, this is so versatile. I used vanilla pudding the last time, and it works wonders! Try whatever flavour of pudding mix you like, and let’s see how it goes. But I bet it is going to be perfect!

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups of sugar

6 tablespoons baking cocoa

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 cups of water

2/3 cup vegetable oil

2 teaspoons vinegar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

FROSTING:

1 cup milk

1 pkg (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix (or whatever flavour you prefer)

1 (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed

How to make Easy Crazy Chocolate Cake

Step 1: Place the first five ingredients (flour, sugar, baking cocoa, baking soda, and salt) in a bowl. Combine well before adding in the water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla.

Step 2: Beat for a minute on low speed, then another minute on medium speed.

Step 3: In a 13 x 9-inch baking pan, transfer the batter and place inside 350 degrees preheated oven.

Step 4: Bake for about 40 to 45 minutes. Test the doneness. Insert a toothpick in the center of the cake, and when it comes out clean, the cake is perfect! Remove from the oven and onto a wire rack to cool.

Step 5: To make the frosting, beat the milk with pudding mix for about 2 minutes. Add in the whipped topping and beat to combine.

Step 6: Frost the cooled cake and store the rest of the frosting in the fridge for later use.
