1 medium head cabbage (cored and chopped)
1 tsp Kosher salt (or to taste)

5 cloves garlic (minced)

How to make Easy Bacon Fried Cabbage
Step 1: Add the pieces of bacon in a single layer in a large cast-iron skillet or non-stick deep pan over medium-high heat. Cook the bacon until crispy. Do this in batches if needed. Place the cooked bacon on a plate and set aside.
Step 2: Discard excess grease but leave around 2 to 3 tbsp.
Step 3: Add in the sliced onion and cook for approximately 2 to 3 minutes or until soft.
Step 4: Add and toss the chopped cabbage, salt, pepper, oregano, and smoked paprika. Continue to cook for 15 minutes more or until the cabbage is still a bit crispy.
Step 5: Adjust the heat to medium-low if needed. Cover the pan and continue to cook the cabbage for another 10 minutes to your desired doneness.
Step 6: Add the garlic and the bacon back to the pan. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes more.
Step 7: If desired, garnish with chopped green onions. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
