This dump cake with peaches is a wonderful summer treat that is also great to enjoy all year round. You can make dump cakes with any variety of canned filling such as apple, pineapple, or pumpkin. In reality, dump cakes are the perfect treat for all seasons. You can make it using your favourite filling and serve it on any occasion.

INGREDIENTS

1 stick (1/2 c.) unsalted butter

1 1/2 c. granulated sugar (divided)

2 c. all-purpose flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp kosher salt

1 c. whole milk

1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

1 (29-oz.) can sliced peaches in juice

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

HOW TO MAKE DUMP CAKE WITH PEACHES

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F. And with butter, grease a 9 x 13-inch or two 8 x 8-inches baking dish. Set aside.

Step 2: In a medium-size microwave-safe mixing bowl, place the butter and melt in the microwave. Once the butter has melted, add a cup of sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir well until everything is mixed. Then, whisk in the milk and vanilla. Into the prepared baking dish, pour the batter and evenly spoon over the peaches around the pan. Keep the juice from the can aside.

Step 3: To the juice, add half a cup of sugar along with the cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir well, then pour this on top of the peaches.

Step 4: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 55 to 60 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven when done, slice, and serve right away with a big scoop of ice cream on top. Enjoy!
