Summer is just around the corner and what is the best way to welcome the hot days but with this delicious Dump Cake with Peaches. Perfect for dessert and potlucks. This is a no-fuss dessert, made with just simple ingredients, but always comes out amazing! A hit for all ages, this dessert is screaming “beach please”!
I have a lot of favourite desserts and one of them is this easy and quick dump cake with peaches. A versatile recipe. You can use any filling from peaches, apples, pineapple, or pumpkin. And you will never be afraid to mess this up because it is a pretty straightforward recipe.
INGREDIENTS
1 stick (1/2 c.) unsalted butter
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar (divided)
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 c. whole milk
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
1 (29 oz) can sliced peaches in juice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
HOW TO MAKE DUMP CAKE WITH PEACHES
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish or 2 x 8 x 8-inches baking dishes. Set aside.
Step 3: In a medium-size microwave-safe mixing bowl, place the butter. Melt the butter in the microwave. Then, whisk in a cup of sugar, flour, baking powder, salt. Add in the milk and vanilla and stir until incorporated. Transfer this into the prepared baking dish.
Step 4: On top of the batter, evenly spoon the peaches, reserving the juice from the can.
Step 5: Into the reserved juice, add half a cup of sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir well, then pour this on top of the peaches.
Step 6: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 55 to 60 minutes until golden brown.
Step 7: If desired, serve with a scoop of ice cream on top. Enjoy!
