I always enjoy honey bourbon chicken and I am enjoying this crockpot version very much! It is one of those recipes I’ll take with me anywhere. Insanely easy to make using pantry ingredients, prep time is a jiffy, and I can just let the chicken cook and do my thing. Crockpot recipes are super amazing. They save my life countless times!
Whenever I throw together this Honey Bourbon Chicken it is guaranteed that there will be no leftovers. My family loves this chicken dinner so much that I mostly have to double the serving. 4 tbsp vegetable oil
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 c. low sodium soy sauce
1 c. honey
1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 c. onion diced
2 cloves minced garlic or 1 tsp minced garlic in oil
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
salt and pepper
How to make Crock Pot Honey Bourbon Chicken
Step 1: After trimming the chicken breasts, season them with salt and pepper. Then, place the chicken breasts in your slow cooker.
Step 2: Place the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, oil, garlic, onion, and red pepper flakes in a medium bowl. Mix well, then pour this over the chicken.
Step 3: Set to cook for 3 to 4 hours on low of 1½ to 2½ hours on high.
Step 4: Take the chicken out of the pot when done and slice them into chunks.
