CROCK POT CHICKEN TATER TOT CASSEROLE

This is a whole meal that is sure to impress everyone around the table! This crockpot chicken Tater Tot casserole is a must and forever a keeper. Easily double the recipe if feeding a big crowd. You can even use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken and just adjust the cooking time accordingly. For the seasoning, you can sprinkle additional Cajun seasoning or blackened chicken seasoning after salt and pepper. Serve this casserole with your preferred fresh, crisp salad for an effortless meal that you can easily pull off.

Ingredients

1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts diced

1 (32 ounces) bag frozen tater tots

2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

1 (3 ounces) bag bacon pieces

salt & pepper to taste

¾ c. milk

HOW TO MAKE CROCKPOT CHICKEN TATER TOT CASSEROLE

Step 1: Using a nonstick cooking spray, grease your slow cooker.

Step 2: On the bottom of the slow cooker, layer half of the frozen tater tots. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the pieces of bacon and top with 1/3 of the shredded cheese.

Step 3: On top, add the diced chicken and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Step 4: Top the diced chicken with the other 1/3 of the bacon pieces and 1/3 shredded cheese. Add the remaining frozen tater tots on top.

Step 5: Next, add the rest of the 1/3 each cheddar cheese and bacon pieces. Pour over 3/4 cup milk.

Step 6: Cover the slow cooker and set to cook the casserole for 4 to 6 hours on low.

Step 7: Serve right away when done. Enjoy!

Notes:

You can also make this casserole in the oven. Into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish, layer the ingredients except for the milk. Tent the casserole and bake for about 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees F.

Place any leftovers in an airtight container and keep them in the fridge for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
