I enjoy cooking and I have loads of recipes that I am yet to try. For months now, I have been making this bbq pulled chicken. It is one of the best crockpot recipes that you can prep in under ten minutes. The ingredients required to make this you can likely already have in your pantry. Place everything in your crockpot and set to cook until the chicken is fork-tender. The best part is there is no need to stay in the kitchen for hours! Crockpot recipes are excellent for working moms like me. I can just dump everything in my pot and leave. Serve this on your next picnic, party, or bring to potlucks. Enjoy this crockpot bbq chicken on buns with a simple side salad for an easy and quick meal any time!

Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil

3.5 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast¹ (1.5kg)

2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

2 c. BBQ sauce (I use Sweet Baby Ray’s)

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp onion powder

¼-½ tsp crushed red pepper

¼ c. light or dark brown sugar packed (60 grams)

How to make Crock Pot BBQ Chicken

Step 1: In the basin of a slow cooker, add the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and crushed red pepper. Mix well until combined.

Step 2: Into the sauce, nestle the chicken breast and spoon the sauce over the chicken to cover them.

Step 3: Cover the slow cooker and set to cook on 6 to 7 hours on low or 3 to 4 hours on high. Once the chicken breast is easily shredded using a pair of a fork, the chicken is done.

Step 4: After shredding the chicken, stir into the sauce until well coated.

Step 5: Serve the bbq chicken immediately. Enjoy!

Note:

Before cooking the chicken breasts, make sure to thaw it first if using frozen chicken.
