This recipe is practically a no-brainer. The ingredients required are very simple, and you can easily make this casserole from scratch. To serve, pair this up with green beans, frozen peas, or carrots.
INGREDIENTS
6 frozen chicken strips
5 c. instant mashed potatoes, prepared according to the box (water, butter, milk & salt)
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, shredded
3/4 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 c. frozen corn
How to make Crispy Chicken and Mashed Potato Casserole
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees.
Step 2: Allow the chicken strips to sit for about 5 to 10 minutes at room temperature. Once thawed, chop the chicken strips into bite-sized pieces.
Step 3: On the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish, spread the potatoes. On top, add the corn along with the cheeses, and chicken. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the chicken is crisp.
Step 4: In the meantime, make the gravy. Following the package directions, prepare the gravy on the stovetop.
Step 5: Remove the casserole from the oven when done and drizzle the gravy on top. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
