How to make Crispy Breaded Pork Chops (Baked)
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F. Using parchment paper, line a rimmed baking sheet.
Step 2: Place the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and salt, and black pepper in a shallow bowl. Mix well until combined.
Step 3: On a shallow plate, place the season flour and season with salt. Add the whisked eggs to a separate shallow bowl.
Step 4: Using a paper towel, dab the pork chops dry, then lightly coat each in the flour. Now, dip each chop into the egg mixture, coating the entire side. Into the bread crumb mixture, dip the pork chop.
Step 5: In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops to the pan and sear for about a minute on each side until browned.
Step 6: Remove the chops from the pan and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet. Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 12 to 14 minutes or until their internal temperature reached 145 degrees F. Make sure to not over-bake the pork chops. Allow them to rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes:
You can use plain in place of Panko breadcrumbs. Simply add some Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
For this recipe, use about an inch thick lean boneless centre loin chops. Feel free to use any chop you prefer but keep in mind that their cooking time varies.
To make sure the pork chops are not overcooked, use a meat thermometer. I suggest taking the chops a little sooner and allowing them to rest for a little, so their internal temperature continues to rise to 145 degrees F.
