4 eggs-separated
2 c. milk-lukewarm
1/2 c. unsalted butter-melted and slightly cooled
1 1/4 c (150 grams) powdered sugar
1 tbsp water
powdered sugar for dusting
1 c (115 grams) flour
2 tsp vanilla extract
How to make Vanilla Magic Custard Cake
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 325 degrees F. Ready an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Lightly grease and set aside.
Step 2: Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
Step 3: Beat the egg yolks with powdered sugar until pale yellow.
Step 4: Whisk in the melted butter with 1 tbsp water for approximately 2 minutes or until fully blended.
Step 5: Then, beat in the flour until combined.
Step 6: Gradually pour in the milk and vanilla, mixing until well mixed.
Step 7: Next, fold in the egg whites around 1/3 at a time until all the egg whites are added.
Step 8: Into the prepared pan, transfer the batter. Place in the preheated oven and bake for aboutn40 to 60 minutes or until the cake is barely jiggly in the middle. Note that the baking time changes depending on your oven and pan. I suggest beginning checking after 40 minutes. Tent the cake with aluminium foil if the top browns too quickly.
Step 9: Remove the cake from the oven when done and allow it to cool fully before dusting with powdered sugar.
