I cannot count how many times I have made this Creamy Salmon Pasta. My family loves this so much that it became a tradition to serve this on Sundays once everyone is around. Made with just simple ingredients, you can throw this together in fifty-five minutes from start to finish!

If you are always on the lookout for an easy, quick, and filling weeknight dinner, this recipe is one to keep. Family-approved, kid-friendly, and a nice alternative to meat. And this pasta is elegant enough to serve on date nights with your favourite wine.

Salmon and pasta are a staple at home. Cooking salmon is super easy. It’s tender and very flavorful. I have a list of salmon recipes I love, and this is one of them. Two of my family’s favourites in one. We enjoy this creamy salmon pasta alongside some toasted garlic bread or fresh green salad. You’ll think maybe that it is not filling enough but trust me it is! Give this a try and see for yourself.

INGREDIENTS

1 pound salmon

8 ounces uncooked penne pasta

3 tablespoons butter

1 medium onion (chopped)

8 ounces heavy cream

¾ c. grated Parmigiano Reggiano

¼ c. chopped parsley

salt and pepper

How to make Creamy Salmon Pasta

Step 1: Following the package directions, cook the pasta until al dente.

Step 2: In the meantime, saute the onion for about 4 to 5 minutes in butter. Add the salmon to the sauteed onions and continue to cook for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, breaking the salmon into flakes as it cooks. Then, stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Turn the heat off.

Step 3: To the salmon, add the cooked pasta, Parmigiano Reggiano, and chopped parsley. Toss until everything is incorporated.

Step 4: Before serving, garnish with extra cheese and parsley. Enjoy!
