CREAMY GARLIC TUSCAN SHRIMP

by Rebecca February 15, 2022

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 10 mins | Total Time: 20 mins | Yield: 6 Servings

I love this keto-friendly and low-carb shrimp dish in a light and creamy garlic Parmesan sauce packed with sun-dried tomatoes and spinach. A great option if you are looking for another meal to impress everyone around the table. The best part is you can easily throw this together using only a few simple ingredients, and this is ready in no more than twenty minutes!

This is not your traditional Tuscan recipe. Whenever I see Tuscan, I thought of chicken, but this recipe put fun and delicious twist to our favourite Tuscan recipe. Shrimp, garlic, and butter is the perfect combination. Then, nestle the shrimps in a divine and creamy Tuscan sauce to sip all the wonderful flavour and cook until done.

Ingredients

2 tbsp butter or Ghee

1 ½ lbs Shrimp peeled and deveined

1 cup Heavy Cream

½ tbsp Lemon Zest

1 tsp Gluten-free Flour

1 tbsp Italian Seasoning Mix

A handful of freshly chopped basil leaves picked and chopped

1 tsp Cayenne Powder

¼ cup Sun-dried Tomatoes Chopped

4 Garlic Cloves pressed

Sea salt and pepper, to taste

1 tsp Chili Flakes or to taste

HOW TO MAKE CREAMY GARLIC TUSCAN SHRIMP

Step 1: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add the garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant.

Step 2: Combine the heavy cream and flour in a mixing bowl until well blended. Pour this into the pan. Next, add the Italian seasoning, lemon zest, cayenne powder, and sun-dried tomatoes. Mix well.

Step 3: Adjust the heat to low and simmer for approximately 4 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.

Step 4: Now, add the shrimps and continue to cook for another 5 minutes until done.

Step 5: When done, take the pan off the heat. Stir in the basil and season with salt and pepper.

Step 6: Serve the creamy garlic Tuscan shrimp right away. Enjoy!
