My kid loves Mushroom soup and me anything soup. She’s super picky so when I made this first I was hesitant that it’ll turn out good. But first, sip and she’s hooked! She even told me not to buy canned mushroom soup anymore because this is a million times better!

2 1/2 c fresh mushrooms of your choice, sliced
1/4 c onion, diced
1/4 c white wine
4 tbsp butter
5 tbsp all-purpose flour
4 c vegetable broth
1 c heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
How to make Cream of Mushroom Soup
Step 1: Melt the butter in a pot.
Step 2: Add the onions and mushrooms and mix hardly. Cook until soft.
Step 3: Sprinkle flour over the onions and mushrooms. Stir well to coat.
Step 4: Pour in the white wine followed by the broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
Step 5: Once the mixture has thickened, decrease the heat and stir in the heavy cream.
Step 6: To taste, season with salt and pepper.
