These heavenly treats have been the highlight of my day! I was so impressed with how good they are. I thought this recipe was just one of those recipes that I would get disappointed but I was wrong! I will surely make these delicious Meltaways again. That’s for sure! By the way, feel free to add more ingredients. I recommend pecans, chocolate chips, and raisins. 1 – 8 ounces package fat-free cream cheese (room temperature)
2 Eggs
1 Tablespoon vanilla flavouring
2 cups of white lily plain flour
1 cup of sugar
1 stick butter (room temperature)
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, eggs, vanilla, flour, sugar, and butter. Beat until stiff peaks form. Let it sit at room temperature to rise for a couple of minutes.
Step 3: Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and place the dough on it.
Step 4: Knead and roll the dough into a ball shape.
Step 5: Use the bottom of a glass to flatten the dough and make small circles out of it.
Step 6: Arrange the pieces of dough in a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 7: Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake for about 8 to 10 minutes or until their colour turns golden brown.
Step 8: Remove the Cream Cheese Meltaways from the oven and let them sit at room temperature to cool for a few minutes.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
