1/4 tsp black pepper
1 (18 ounces) bag frozen corn, thawed
1/3 c milk
1 c sharp cheddar cheese, grated
4 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
1/2 tsp salt
1 (8 ounces) package of cream cheese, softened and cubed
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Apply cooking spray to a 2-quart baking dish.
Place a medium pot on the stove and turn the heat to low.
Add butter and cream cheese, then allow them to melt.
Add the milk and stir until well blended. Season the mixture with cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
Add the corn and stir until well incorporated.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the casserole.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake the casserole in the preheated oven and bake the casserole for 20 minutes or until done.
Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
Serve warm and enjoy!
