CRAB CASSEROLE

This crab casserole is perfect on its own or as a side dish with crackers or bread. The combination of the ingredients compliments each other so well. This casserole is super good even your picky eaters will dig right in!

I am not surprised that my kids instantly love this crab casserole. My mom gave me this recipe. She insisted that I should try it very soon. I am guilty of not giving this a try soon because I forget about it. One day when I was browsing through my stuff I saw this recipe. When I was making this crab casserole my kids even my husband rushed in the kitchen to see what was up. My kids were hesitant at first, but my husband digs straight in. His reaction was very funny! He liked it and asked our kids to grab each spoon and just try it. I called my mom and said that everyone enjoy this casserole. She just said to me, “I told you so!”.

Ingredients

1 8-ounces package Crab Delight Chunk or Flake style will work

1 medium sweet onion sliced into thin rings

5 pounds cream cheese

1/4 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp garlic powder

Pepper to taste

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

HOW TO MAKE CRAB CASSEROLE

Step 1: Ready the oven and preheat it to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.

Step 2: Into small chunks, shred the crab meat, and place it into a mixing bowl. Add the shredded Swiss cheese along with the cream cheese, and sour cream. Mix well until blended.

Step 3: Then, add the spices and onion. Mix again until well incorporated.

Step 4: Into a casserole dish, transfer the mixture, evenly spreading it. On top, sprinkle the shredded cheese.

Step 5: Bake the crab casserole for approximately 30 minutes. When done, take it out of the oven and serve right away. Enjoy!
