Copycat Mary Mac’s Tea Room Oven Baked Macaroni & Cheese

This incredible recipe never fails to make our day extra special! My family just loves this Mary Mac’s Tea Room Oven Baked Macaroni & Cheese. This recipe is a copycat of this famous dish. Ingredients:

2 tablespoons salted butter, melted

2 c extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 lb. cooked elbow macaroni

3 large Eggs

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon hot sauce

1 teaspoon sugar

2 c evaporated milk

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

Directions:

Prepare the oven and preheat it to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Apply cooking spray to a square baking dish.

Crack the eggs into a large mixing bowl. Whisk until creamy and smooth.

Add hot sauce, butter, evaporated milk, sugar, salt, and pepper into the bowl with the eggs. Whisk everything until well blended.

Add 1/2 of the macaroni noodles into the prepared baking dish and spread them evenly.

Add 1/2 of the milk mixture over the macaroni and spread it evenly. Scatter 1/2 of the cheese mixture over the milk mixture layer. Repeat the process with the rest of the ingredients until everything is arranged in layers. Top with paprika.

Place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes or until done.

Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Serve warm. Enjoy!

Notes:

Leftovers should be kept in an airtight container. Put them in the fridge and reheat them before serving them again.
