Ingredients
8 oz. Egg noodles
1 pound ground beef
2 c. milk
1-1/2 c. beef broth
1 tablespoon corn starch
1/2 c. sour cream
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
How to make Copycat Homemade Hamburger Helper Beef Stroganoff
Step 1: In a skillet, cook the beef until brown. When done, drain the grease and place the meat back in the skillet. Then, add the salt, pepper, and cornstarch. Mix well.
Step 2: To the skillet, pour the milk followed by the beef broth. Mix again, then add the noodles. Toss completely covered with the liquid.
Step 3: Cover the skillet and bring everything to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring often.
Step 4: Adjust the heat to medium once the mixture is boiling. Stir often and continue to cook for another 10 to 15 minutes or until the noodles are cooked.
Step 5: Into the cream sauce, add the sour cream. Stir well. Adjust the heat to low and cook for additional 5 minutes until heated through.
Step 6: Remove from the heat when done and serve hot. Enjoy!
TIP:
Keep an eye on the dish as it cooks because the milk boils very quickly.
