CLASSIC BANANA BUNDT CAKE

Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 1 hr 15 mins | Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients:

4 large, very ripe bananas unpeeled

1 l small firm banana for garnish

3 c all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 c unsalted butter, at room temperature (soft not melted)

2 c sugar

2 tsp pure vanilla extract

2 large eggs, room temperature

1 c sour cream

Directions:

Step 1: Place the bananas on a pan and place it inside the oven. Bake for 20 minutes at 150 degrees C or 300 degrees F.

Step 2: Remove the bananas from the oven and allow them to cool.

Step 3: Turn the heat of the oven to about 350 degrees F.

Step 4: Apply cooking spray on a 10-inch Bundt pan.

Step 5: Bake the cake on the rack. Make sure to cover it with foil if the colour gets dark brown.

Step 6: In a medium mixing bowl, add the baking soda, flour, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.

Step 7: Beat the butter until creamy, then add in the sugar. Beat more for a few seconds until well mixed.

Step 8: Add in the eggs and vanilla gradually, then whisk every addition.

Step 9: Squeeze in the bananas and beat until well mixed.

Step 10: Add in the flour mixture and sour cream. Beat until well combined.

Step 11: Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.

Step 12: Top it with the rest of the sliced bananas.

Step 13: Place the pan inside the preheated oven and bake for 75 minutes or until done.

Step 14: Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes.

Step 15: Serve and enjoy!
