CINNAMON ROLL CAKE WITH CREAM CHEESE GLAZE

by Rebecca November 7, 2020

Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 30 mins

This is the perfect breakfast idea that your family will love! Sweet, moist, with cream cheese frosting that you cannot be able to resit. Not fussy, super simple cinnamon roll cake with a decadent cream cheese glaze. My go-to holiday brunch, my favourite breakfast/dessert for all occasions, and always a crowd favourite.

Ingredients

3 c all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp salt

1 c of sugar

1 1/2 c milk

2 Eggs

1 stick melted butter

TOPPING:

2 stick butter, room temperature

1 c brown sugar, firmly packed

2 tbsp flour

1 tbsp cinnamon

CREAM CHEESE GLAZE:

4 oz cream cheese, room temperature

1- 11/2 c powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

4-6 tbsp milk ( depending on how thick you like your glaze)

HOW TO MAKE CINNAMON ROLL CAKE WITH CREAM CHEESE GLAZE

Step 1: Ready the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.

Step 2: Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan with baker’s joy.

Step 3: In a mixing bowl, mix the flour, sugar, milk, and eggs until incorporated. Slowly add in the butter and mix well until combined. Transfer this into the prepared pan.

Step 4: Add the butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in another mixing bowl. Use a beater to mix. Ensure that the butter used is at room temperature.

Step 5: Drop the toppings by tablespoons over the entire cake.

Step 6: Use a butter knife or marble to swirl the topping. Be extra careful so you don’t scrape the bottom of the pan.

Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes.

Step 8: Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes.

Step 9: For the glaze, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until you reached your desired consistency.

Step 10: Generously pour the glaze over the entire cake.
