I love making this Cinnamon-Apple Dutch Baby. It’s so easy to whip up and so much fun to watch puff up in the oven! Serve this on brunch or easily transform it into a tasty dessert with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

2 medium-size Golden Delicious apples (about 10 ounces), thinly sliced

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp table salt, divided

1 ½ c. whole milk

6 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 ½ c. (about 6 3/8 ounces) all-purpose flour

¼ c. granulated sugar

½ c. (4 ounces) unsalted butter, melted

¼ c. powdered sugar

How to Make Cinnamon-Apple Dutch Baby

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F.

Step 2: On a half-size 18 x 13 x 1-inches rimmed baking sheet, place the apples, oil, cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp of the salt. Toss to coat the apples. Then, place in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes until the apples are tender and starting to brown. Make sure to stir after 10 minutes of cooking time.

Step 3: In a blender, place the milk, eggs, vanilla, and the rest of the 1/4 teaspoon salt. Blend for about 30 seconds until smooth.

Step 4: In a large bowl. Combine the flour with the granulated sugar. To the milk mixture, add the flour mixture in 3 additions. Blending every after each addition until smooth.

Step 5: Over the apple mixture, drizzle the melted butter and stir to combine, making sure the butter fully coats the bottom of the pan. On top of the apple mixture, evenly pour the batter. Place in a 425 degrees F oven and bake for approximately 15 to 20 minutes until puffy and golden.

Step 6: Remove from the oven when done and evenly sprinkle with powdered sugar. Slice into squares and enjoy immediately!
