My kids are obsessed with Churros. Good thing I found this easy recipe and a bonus, this is the recipe from Disney Parks! We are all excited about these churro bites so we have to dig straight in!
INGREDIENTS
1 c. water
8 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon, divided
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3 Eggs
1 1/2 c. vegetable or canola oil
1/2 c. sugar
HOW TO MAKE CHURROS RECIPE FROM DISNEY PARKS (CHURRO BITES)
Step 1: In a 1 1/2-quart saucepan, combine the water, butter, salt, and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat.
Step 2: Adjust the heat to low, then add in the flour. Briskly stir until the mixture forms a ball. Take out of the heat and allow to rest for about 5 to 7 minutes.
Step 3: Beat in the eggs a piece at a time until well incorporated. Set aside.
Step 4: In a medium skillet or 1-quart saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat until the temperature reached 350 degrees F.
Step 5: Into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip, spoon the dough. To the saucepan, pipe an inch strip of dough, cut with a knife to drop the dough into the hot oil. Do the same until the churro bites fill the saucepan but do not overcrowd.
Step 6: Fry the churro bites until golden brown. Take the churro bites out of the oil using a slotted spoon or mesh spider strainer. Transfer paper towels to drain.
Step 7: In a medium bowl, combine the sugar and half a tsp cinnamon. Toss the churro bites into the mixture until coated.
Step 8: On a serving plate, place the churro bites and serve with your favourite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
