12 ounces frozen chopped spinach thawed and squeezed dry
6 ounces cream cheese softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese
1 c. grated cheddar OR mozzarella cheese
1 tube refrigerated thin crust pizza crust
2 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic salt
How to make Christmas Tree Spinach Dip Breadsticks
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees.
Step 2: Place the spinach and cream cheese in a bowl and beat to combine. Add in the garlic, salt, onion powder, chilli powder, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until everything is incorporated.
Step 3: Now, add in the Parmesan cheese and half of the cheddar or mozzarella. Beat again. Reserve the other half of the cheddar or mozzarella to sprinkle on top of the filling later.
Step 4: After shaping into a Christmas tree, place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 22 minutes until the top is quite golden brown and the bottom is cooked through.
Step 5: Combine the garlic salt and seasoning with the melted butter and brush it over the breadsticks. Enjoy warm!
Note:
To shape into a Christmas tree, use a thin-style pizza crust and lay it on parchment paper. Cut a big triangle using a pizza cutter. Place the two small triangles in another parchment paper, putting the long edges together to create another large triangle. Then, spread the spinach mixture onto the triangle and sprinkle it with the reserved cheese. Top the filling with the other triangle dough, making sure to entirely cover the base. Now, cut slices from the middle with a pizza cutter about every inch down the triangle. Remember not to cut all the way across and to leave the middle intact. Twist each slice to shape a tree. And for the top slice, give it only a half twist and three full twists for the longer slices.
