These Chicken Wontons are the best-fried wontons in town! Super crispy and delicious with some sweet chilli sauce dip. Or enjoy these plain and it’s still amazing! Takes only twenty minutes to make and that includes the wrapping! These little bad boys are so appetizing and wontons can be made into different recipes, so you’re welcome!

1/2 pound (0.2 kg) ground chicken
1/4 pound (0.1 kg) shrimp, chopped into small pieces
1 stalk scallion, cut into rings
1/2 tsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1 dash fish sauce (optional)
1/2 tsp sesame oil
3 dashes ground white pepper
12 pieces wonton wrappers
water, for sealing
oil, for deep frying
DIPPING SAUCE:
3 tbsp Thai sweet chilli sauce
2 tsp lime juice
1 tbsp chopped cilantro leaves
1 pinch white sesame seeds
HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN WONTONS
Step 1: Combine the ground chicken, shrimp, scallion, and cornstarch in a bowl. Stir in the salt, fish sauce, sesame oil, and white pepper, mixing well until incorporated. Set aside.
Step 2: On your palm, place a piece of wonton wrapper and spoon half a tsp filling in the middle of the wrapper. In some water, dip your index finger and trace it on the outer edges of the wrapper. Now, fold the wonton wrapper, pinching the edges to seal and secure the filling. Repeat for the remaining filling.
Step 3: In a wok or frying pan, heat some cooking oil. Once hot, deep fry the wontons until golden brown.
Step 4: Enjoy these hot chicken wontons with sweet chilli sauce or eat plain.
