Chicken Salad Recipe

Make this simply delicious Chicken Salad any time. A no-fuss, pretty straightforward salad recipe that your family will surely enjoy! Made with only pantry ingredients, throw this salad together in a heartbeat. This is by far the best chicken salad I’ve tasted!

This has the perfect combination of seasoned chicken breast in creamy mayonnaise, lemon juice with crunchy celery. Great for lunch, potlucks, and as a picnic option. You don’t have to limit yourself to just the listed ingredients, add whatever you want. I love adding crumbled bacon most of the time or green onion, red onion, fresh dill, or avocado. Make this ahead for grab-and-go lunches and a busy schedule. Once you try this, you’ll never go back to the store-bought again! So what else can you add to this already lovely salad recipe? Try eggs, olives, pickles, dried fruit, or Bell Peppers. The possibilities are endless!

Ingredients

Dressing:

1 c Mayonnaise (6 ounces by scale weight)

½ c Sour Cream (4 ounces by scale weight)

2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard (1 ounce by scale weight)

1 tablespoon Dill Weed

2 teaspoons Sugar

½ teaspoon White Pepper

5 teaspoons Lemon Juice

Salad:

3 c chopped Poached Chicken

1 c finely chopped Celery

4 tablespoons finely chopped Green Onions

½ c shelled Sunflower Seeds

How to make Chicken Salad

Step 1: In a bowl, add the dressing ingredients; mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, dill weed, sugar, white pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well until incorporated.

Step 2: Slice into bite-sized pieces the cooled and poached chicken.

Step 3: Add the poached chicken, finely chopped celery, finely chopped green onions, and shelled sunflower seeds to the dressing and mix to combine.

Step 4: Place in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours.

Step 5: When ready, serve and enjoy!
