This recipe is a bit tedious but worth it! A lit way to enjoy Parmesan and chicken. If you don’t have a bread bowl, a big loaf of bread would do the trick. This scrumptious Chicken Parmesan Bread Bowl is surely a must-try!

1 c. breadcrumb (115grams)
½ tsp fresh parsley, chopped
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 c. flour (125grams)
3 Eggs, beaten
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
oil, for frying
1 bread bowl
1 c. marinara sauce (260grams)
8 ounces mozzarella cheese (225grams)
½ c. shredded Parmesan cheese (50grams)
3 tbsp butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated
fresh basil, for serving
How to make Chicken Parmesan Bread Bowl
Step 1: Place the bread crumbs, parsley garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix well.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, place the flour and the eggs in another.
Step 3: In the flour, roll the chicken breasts and dust off any excess. Into the egg, dip the chicken, and completely coat into the breadcrumbs.
Step 4: In a skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil and sear until both sides are golden brown. On a paper towel, transfer the chicken strips to drain.
Step 5: Meanwhile, ready the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F or 180 degrees C.
Step 6: Into half an inch or 1 cm thick strips, slice the cooked chicken breasts.
Step 7: After cutting the top of the bread bowl off, scoop out the insides, saving the top.
Step 8: On the bottom of the bowl, spoon and spread some of the marinara sauce. Layer on top the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, chicken strips, marinara, rest of the mozzarella, Parmesan, chicken strips, marinara, and Parmesan. Then, put the cap of the bread on top.
Step 9: In foil, wrap the bread bowl. Place a heavy object over it for about 30 minutes to weigh down the bread bowl.
Step 10: Combine the butter, garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl. Uncover the bread bowl and evenly brush with the garlic butter mixture.
Step 11: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes. Remove from the oven when done and allow the bread bowl to cool for at least 10 minutes, then slice.
Step 12: If desired, garnish with basil before serving. Enjoy!
