Simple but an astonishing meal with juicy chicken seasoned in lemon pepper in a fantastic cream sauce. This sure makes an awesome dinner. Serve over rice, pasta, or noodles with lemon sauce. Or enjoy with your favourite steamed veggies or bread to soak all the creamy sauce goodness.

Chicken:
2 lbs (910grams) boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin (or chicken thighs)
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
salt
black pepper
smoked paprika, to taste (optional)
ground cumin, to taste (optional)
Lemon Pepper Sauce:
2 tbsp (30 ml) butter, or olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
3/4 c. (180 ml) heavy whipping cream (NOT the same as half and half)
1/2 c. (120 ml) chicken broth
2 tsp (10 ml) Worcestershire sauce
zest of 1 medium lemon
3 tbsp (45 ml) fresh lemon juice
2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
salt, to taste
cracked black pepper, to taste
3 tbsp minced parsley, optional garnish
HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN IN LEMON PEPPER CREAM SAUCE
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F or 205 degrees C.
Step 2: With salt and pepper, season both sides of the chicken. This is optional but you can also sprinkle the chicken with paprika and/or ground cumin.
Step 3: Over medium-high heat, heat a large oven-proof skillet. Once hot, add the butter and allow it to melt. Then, add in the chicken and sear for about 2 to 3 minutes per side until lightly browned. Set the seared chicken aside.
Step 4: Adjust the heat to medium heat. Add in 2 tbsp butter in the same skillet and allow to melt. Saute the garlic until aromatic. Now, add in the heavy whipping cream, chicken broth, Worcestershire, lemon zest, lemon juice, and lemon pepper seasoning. Stir until everything is incorporated. Adjust the seasoning according to taste.
Step 5: Add the chicken breasts back to the skillet. Shift into the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 30 minutes or until the chicken is completely cooked. The cooking time varies depending on the size of the chicken.
Step 6: If desired, garnish with parsley and serve the chicken over rice, pasta, or noodles with lemon sauce. Or enjoy with some steamed veggies or soft bread.
