Chicken Fajita Marinade

The perfect blend of olive oil, lime juice, and spices make this the most incredible zesty flavoured dish! The best thing about this recipe is the marinade! It is so versatile that you can use this same recipe to make a Mexican style chicken for burritos, nachos, tacos, and a whole lot more!

Super easy to throw together with a few simple ingredients, this delicious dish is packed with flavour and comes together in a heartbeat! If you adore Mexican food, I am pretty sure that you will love this. Enjoy a restaurant-quality meal in the comfort of your home with this filling Chicken Fajitas.

Ingredients

¼ c olive oil

⅓ c lime juice

¼ c water

1 tsp sugar

1 1/4 tsp kosher salt

¼ tsp ground cumin

2 cloves garlic minced

1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp onion powder

1-2 tbsp chilli powder depending on the heat level of your chilli powder (for this recipe, I used a mild chilli powder)

1/4 tsp pepper

How to make Chicken Fajita Marinade

Step 1: In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, water, sugar, kosher salt, cumin, garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, chilli powder, and pepper.

Step 2: Into the bowl, add in a pound of sliced chicken, 1 1/2 cups sliced bell peppers and 1/2 cup sliced onions. Toss to evenly coat.

Step 3: Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.
