What’s inside this delicious bake? It’s chicken, ham, Swiss cheese, sour cream, chicken soup, and rice. Everything we all want in one! Freaking delicious, and the leftovers are amazing, too!

The holiday is fast approaching, and with this simple recipe, we don’t have to worry about holiday leftovers. The best part is this is incredibly easy and quick to throw together! Super delicious, everyone will clean their plate and will still ask for more.

Want to make this casserole in advance? You can! Simply assemble and store in the fridge or freeze. If baking straight from the fridge, just add a couple of minutes more to the baking time. If frozen, thaw the casserole completely, then bake. Easy peasy!

Ingredients

1½ c. chopped cooked chicken

2 c. instant white rice

2 c. water

8 ounces diced ham

1 c. shredded Swiss cheese

1 (8 ounces) container sour cream

½ c. milk or water

1 (10.75 ounces) can Cream of Chicken Soup

HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN CORDON BLEU RICE BAKE

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F. Using cooking spray, lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch pan and set it aside.

Step 2: Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Once boiling, add the instant rice to the pan. Put the lid on and turn the heat off, allowing the rice to stand for about 5 minutes or until the water is completely absorbed.

Step 3: Place the chicken, ham, chicken soup, sour cream, Swiss cheese, milk or water, and cooked rice in a large bowl. Mix well until incorporated. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread.

Step 4: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake the chicken cordon bleu rice for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the cheese has melted and bubbly.

Notes:

For this recipe, you can use 4 cups of any cooked rice for the minute rice and water.
