Ingredients

6 tbsp butter

½ c. flour (60 grams)

3 c. chicken broth (720 ml)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1 c. heavy cream (240 ml)

2 ½ c. frozen mixed vegetable (455 grams)

1 rotisserie chicken, shredded

2 tubes biscuit dough, 8 biscuits each

How to make Chicken & Biscuits Bake

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F or 180 degrees C.

Step 2: Melt the butter in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Step 3: Once the butter has melted, add the onion to the pot and cook for about a minute, stirring until soft.

Step 4: To the pot, whisk in the flour for a minute. To prevent it from burning, make sure to constantly stir the flour.

Step 5: Add in the chicken broth, salt, and pepper, and continue whisking until the lumps are gone.

Step 6: Stir in the heavy cream, then bring the sauce to a light simmer until slightly thickened. Season with more salt and pepper as needed.

Step 7: To the sauce, add in the mixed vegetables and shredded chicken. Stir until everything is incorporated.

Step 8: Transfer the mixture to a 9 x 13-inch or 23 x 33 cm baking dish. Evenly place 12 pieces of biscuit dough on top.

Step 9: Put the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes until the biscuits are golden and the gravy is bubbling. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a bit before serving. Enjoy!
