CHICKEN BACON RANCH PASTA

I love this dish. I make this all the time, and it has been my family’s favourite rotation. Made with just a few simple ingredients, you can easily throw this together in minutes! Also, this pasta dish has bacon, isn’t that exciting?

This recipe is super awesome! It’s incredibly easy and quick to whip up and guarantee the best dinner perfect for busy days and the entire family. You can also make this using leftover bbq chicken. If desired, you can make homemade ranch spice to make sure you are using chemical and msg free ingredients. I tried swapping ranch with a packet of onion soup mix and sour cream for the cheese, and it was mind-blowing! Make sure to try this very soon. I promise you’ll love every inch of this chicken bacon ranch pasta!

Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into pieces

1 lb of penne pasta

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 c. milk

1 packet of ranch seasoning mix

6 strips of bacon diced

1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Salt and pepper

HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN BACON RANCH PASTA

Step 1: Cook the pasta. Drain when done and set aside.

Step 2: In the meantime, cook the bacon in a skillet. When done, drain the grease, keeping only a tbsp of the bacon drippings in the pan.

Step 3: To the bacon drippings, add 1 tbsp spoon of butter. Add the chicken breasts. Toss and cook until browned.

Step 4: Over the chicken, pour the ranch dressing mix followed by the flour. Pour in 2 cups of milk, stir, and cook until bubbly and has thickened.

Step 5: To the pan, add the cheese and half of the diced bacon pieces. Mix well until the cheese has melted.

Step 6: Toss the pasta noodles with the sauce. To taste, season with salt and pepper.

Step 7: Before serving, top the dish with the remaining bacon pieces. Enjoy!
