Chicken and Dressing Casserole

by Rebecca March 26, 2020

I received this recipe from a friend. My entire family enjoys it and not to mention how easy it’s to create! Side Note: Should you want to, you may simply boil up to 4 or 5 boneless chicken breasts rather than using a whole chicken.

I had an identical recipe years ago but it never really was as delicious as I expected it to be. This one definitely did! Enjoyed every taste!  I made it the night prior to leaving it within the refrigerator overnight and put it in the oven once I came home from work. It was amazing!

How to make Gravy:

Melt butter in a saucepan over moderate heat. Whisk in flour and cook for two minutes.

Reduce heat to low and cook and stir until thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, 4-6 minutes. Stir in heavy cream, and season with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Serve the casserole with sauce on the top and a big side of sausage.
