Cheesy Taco Pockets

These golden tortilla pockets are loaded with zesty beef and lots of cheese. Super easy to throw together using only a few ingredients and ready in less than an hour. If you need a quick fix on busy nights, these cheesy taco pockets are a must-try! These too, are perfect as a grab-and-go lunch or afternoon snack. Incredibly convenient and the best when topped with guacamole, sour cream, or a sprinkle of chopped fresh cilantro and served with refried beans or corn salad on the side.

This recipe is pretty versatile. You can use your preferred meat or cheese depending on your preference. And instead of flour, you can also use flour. Put a smile on everyone’s faces with these delicious pockets. Make these soon and do not forget to share!

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

8 ounces cream cheese room temp

½ c. salsa

1 c. cheddar cheese shredded

2 tbsp butter melted

12 small flour tortillas

sour cream salsa, tomatoes, etc. for garnish

How to make Cheesy Taco Pockets

Step 1: Cook the ground beef, crumbling the meat as it cooks. When done, drain the excess grease. To the ground beef, add a packet of taco seasoning (make sure to follow the packet instructions).

Step 2: Place the cream cheese in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Beat it until almost fluffy. Gradually add the salsa, mixing well.

Step 3: In the centre of a tortilla, add a spoonful of salsa mixture, then spread. Over the salsa, spoon enough ground beef to cover it, then top with cheese. Now, fold the tortilla and place it on a greased cookie sheet.

Step 4: With melted butter, brush the tops of the burritos. Place in a 350 degrees F oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. When done, take the cheesy taco pockets from the oven and serve garnished with taco toppings. Enjoy!
