Cheesy Taco Pasta

Make this impressive, super filling Cheesy Taco Pasta in under an hour at the comfort of your home with just simple ingredients. This is the perfect cheesy and meaty dinner option that your entire family will sure ask for again and again. My favourite and go-to if I am in the mood for a Mexican dinner.

This amazing dish is a fusion of Mexican and Italian. A straight-winner combination that will blow everyone away! The ultimate genius dish that will leave you full but still wanting for more!

Ingredients

1/2 lb large shells pasta

1 tbsp canola oil

1 lb ground beef

1 yellow onion (diced)

4 cloves garlic (minced)

2 tbsp taco seasoning

1/2 tsp dried oregano

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp red pepper flakes

3/4 c. water

1 c. jarred salsa

1 1/2 c. cheddar cheese (shredded)

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste

Garnish:

Cheese

Crushed tortilla chips

Sour cream

Chopped parsley

How to make Cheesy Taco Pasta

Step 1: Following the package directions, cook the pasta. Drain when done and set aside.

Step 2: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the ground beef to the skillet and cook while breaking the meat up using a spoon until no longer pink. Drain the grease when done.

Step 3: To the ground beef, add the onion and garlic. Stir and cook for about a minute. Add in the taco seasoning along with dried oregano, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Pour in 3/4 cup of water, stir well, and continue to cook until the water has evaporated.

Step 4: To the skillet, add the pasta, then stir in the salsa and cheese.

Step 5: Enjoy the Cheesy Taco Pasta straightaway with crunchy tortilla chips, sour cream, and extra cheese on top if desired.
