1 (20 ounces) container of refrigerated or frozen cheese tortellini
1 pound ground beef
1 (24 ounces) jar of pasta sauce
8-oz. cream cheese (cubed)
1-2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. grated or shredded Parmesan
seasoning to taste
How to make Cheesy Baked Tortellini Casserole With Meat Sauce
Step 1: Following the package directions, cook the pasta until al dente. Drain when done and set the cooked pasta aside.
Step 2: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.
Step 3: Cook the ground beef in a large skillet until brown and season with your preferred seasoning like salt, garlic powder, pepper & Italian seasoning.
Step 4: From the browned beef, drain the excess grease before stirring in the tomato sauce and cream cheese. Allow the mixture to simmer for a couple of minutes. Into the sauce, add the cooked tortellini and gently toss. Then, into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish, pour the mixture, spread, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan.
Step 5: In the middle of the preheated oven, place the baking dish and bake for about 20 minutes. After twenty minutes, set the oven to broil and bake for another 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese begins to brown.
Step 6: Remove from the oven when done and serve with garlic bread, salad, and/or veggies. Enjoy!
