Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole Recipe

This casserole has been one of my kid’s favourite. Casserole loaded with ground beef, two kinds of cheeses, and tater tots! Incredibly easy to throw together using only a few simple ingredients and ready in under an hour. It’s crazy good, family and kid-friendly, and an ultimate crowd-pleaser. Make sure to give this s try very soon. I am pretty sure your family, especially your kids will go crazy over this Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole!

The sky is the limit with this easy casserole recipe. It’s super versatile. You can change or add ingredients to suit your taste. So if you are looking for a new meal to include in your regular dinner rotation, this is it!

INGREDIENTS

(1) 32 ounces bag of tater tots

2 pounds ground beef

1 tbsp Steak Seasoning

1/8 c. Worcestershire sauce

1/2 onion (chopped)

8 ounces shredded Cheddar Cheese

8 ounces shredded Monterrey jack cheese

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

How to make Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole

Step 1: Cook the ground beef until brown, then add the chopped onions and continue to cook until tender.

Step 2: To the ground beef and onion, add the steak seasoning, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well, then pour it in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

Step 3: On top of the ground beef mixture, evenly spread the Monterrey jack cheese then top with a single layer of tater tots.

Step 4: Place the baking dish in a 375 degrees oven and bake for about 25 minutes without a cover.

Step 5: Remove from the oven and sprinkle the casserole with shredded cheddar cheese. Return to the oven and bake until the cheese has melted.

Step 6: When done, serve the casserole right away with your preferred burger toppings. If desired, you can add more onions, tomatoes, bacon, or pickles. Enjoy!

NOTES:

This casserole freezes beautifully. Before baking, add the cheddar cheese on top. Tent with foil and freeze.
