This low-carb, grain-free, keto-friendly pizza crust is made with a cauliflower base that you can easily customize with your favourite toppings. You’ll love this recipe even more once you try it and this will undoubtedly rotate the way you look at pizza!

Ingredients

1 whole cauliflower head cut into florets

1 Egg

1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp salt

Toppings:

¼ c. store-bought pizza sauce

1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

Fresh basil leaves

How to make Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F.

Step 2: With parchment paper, line a baking sheet and set it aside.

Step 3: Into florets, cut the cauliflower. To make the cauliflower crust, place the florets in a food processor and process until finely grated. This makes around 2 to 3 cups.

Step 4: To a microwavable-safe bowl, transfer the grated cauliflower and cook for approximately 5 minutes until soft. On an open cheesecloth or dish towel, place the cooked cauliflower. Once cooled, wrap the cooked cauliflower in the towel and start squeezing the excess water.

Step 5: To a dry bowl, transfer the grated cooked cauliflower. Add in the eggs, shredded mozzarella, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix well.

Step 6: On the prepared baking sheet, shape the mixture into your desired shape. Place in the prepared oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 7: Adjust the oven temperature to 450 degrees F. To the crust, add the sauce and cheese along with your favourite toppings and continue to bake until the cheese has melted.

Step 8: If desired, garnish with fresh basil. Serve warm. Enjoy!

Notes:

In an airtight container store any leftover and refrigerate for up to 3 to 4 days.

Make the crust 2 to 3 days in advance and freeze for up to a month. When ready to use, bake the crust in the oven for about 5 minutes at 425 degrees F. Add the toppings and continue to bake for another 5 to 10 minutes until the cheese has melted.

You can follow the recipe as is or substitute the seasonings and change the toppings if you’d like.
