Prep Time: 30 mins | Cook Time: 50 mins | Yield: 12-15 Servings

My favourite dessert and the perfect breakfast. So delicious, smells heavenly, and excellent with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

6 c stale white or wheat bread cut or torn into small pieces ( or a mix of both)

3 c any kind of apple peeled and diced small

5 whole Eggs, beaten

3 c half and half

1 c Splenda brown sugar blend

1/4 tsp salt

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 tsp apple pie spice

1 stick butter, cold

1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk

1 bag Kraft caramels, unwrapped

How to make Caramel Apple Bread Pudding

Step 1: Ready the oven. Preheat it to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 3: Add the apple pieces and bread cubes in a large mixing bowl Toss to coat.

Step 4: Place the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Step 5: Put the remaining ingredients except for the butter in another bowl. Mix until well combined.

Step 6: Pour this over the apple and bread mixture and mix well.

Step 7: Allow the mixture to sit for at least 15 minutes or overnight.

Step 8: Place the condensed milk and half of the caramels in a microwavable safe dish.

Step 9: Microwave for about a minute. Stirring and heating every 30 seconds.

Step 10: Apply butter on the bread and drizzle with half of the caramel mixture.

Step 11: Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 to 50 minutes or until the centre is done.

Step 12: Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 5 minutes at room temperature.

Step 13: Before serving, drizzle the caramel over the pudding and serve with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
