I have a long list of chicken recipes because my kids love chicken! And this is one of their favourites. Our go-to summer grill – this unfussy chicken dish requires only a few pantry essentials. Juicy chicken in a delicious cajun marinade grilled perfectly in under fifteen minutes! A nice, delicious twist to replace your old, boring chicken meal.
Ingredients
1 – 2 lbs chicken drumsticks, or other cuts of chicken
Marinade:
1 tablespoon ketchup
1/3 c oil
3 tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 and ½ tablespoons Cajun seasoning
dash of salt
How to make Cajun Marinated Chicken
Step 1: In a large self-closing plastic bag, place the chicken.
Step 2: Combine the marinade ingredients (ketchup, oil, vinegar, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, Cajun seasoning, and a dash of salt). Pour this into the plastic bag with chicken.
Step 3: Marinate the chicken for at least 10 to 20 minutes or for stronger flavour, let the chicken marinate for up to 3 hours.
Step 4: When done marinating, remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for about 10 to 14 minutes or until done.
