PREP TIME: 10 MINS | COOK TIME: 10 MINS | TOTAL TIME: 20 MINS | SERVES: 4 PEOPLE

If you want something easy and quick, you have to try this Cajun Butter Steak Bites! It’s full of flavoured steak bites with crispy edges perfectly pan-seared in Cajun seasoning and garlic butter. The best part is, marinating is not required!

INGREDIENTS

Cajun Seasoning:

1 tbsp mild paprika

1 tsp chilli powder, add more if you like heat

1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp dried oregano

3/4 tsp dried thyme

1/2-3/4 tsp cayenne pepper, add more if you like heat

1/4 tsp cracked black pepper to taste

1 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp brown sugar KETO: use a brown sugar substitute

Steak:

1/4 c. butter

23 ounces (650 grams) steak, cut into 2” cubes (Sirloin, Rump, New York Strip, Porterhouse or Ribeye)

4 cloves garlic finely chopped

1-2 tbsp canola oil, divided

HOW TO MAKE CAJUN BUTTER STEAK BITES

Step 1: In a shallow bowl. Combine the Cajun seasoning, then add the steak bites. Toss well to evenly coat the steak bites.

Step 2: In a skillet or pan, heat 2 tbsp oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the steak bites in batches to the skillet and sear for about 2 to 3 minutes per side or until the edges are crispy and browned, adding more oil as needed. When done, set the steak bites aside.

Step 3: Adjust the heat to medium, then add the butter to the skillet. Allow it to melt, then add the chopped garlic. Saute for about 30 seconds or until aromatic, scraping the browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Step 4: When done, remove the pan from the heat, then return the steak bites into the pan. Toss them into the garlic butter until evenly coated.

Step 5: Serve right away. Enjoy!

NOTES:

You can make the Cajun seasoning from scratch or use 3 tbsp of store-bought Cajun seasoning. Just make sure the brand you use is low sodium.
