Ingredients
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. buttermilk
1 stick butter
4 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons salt
How to make Butter Swim Biscuits
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 450 degrees.
Step 2: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
Step 3: Add in the buttermilk and mix until a moist dough has formed.
Step 4: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Pour this into an 8 x 8-inch or 9 x 9-inch baking dish. Remember not to use a too small or shallow pan as the butter might drip out of the pan while baking.
Step 5: Over the melted butter, place the dough, evenly spreading it with a spatula until it touches the sides of the pan.
Step 6: Now, slice the unbaked dough into 9 even squares.
Step 7: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Step 8: Serve these biscuits for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with any meal or eat them with some raspberry jam.
