Ingredients
1 stick butter
2 c. buttermilk
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons sugar
How to make Butter Swim Biscuits
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 450 degrees.
Step 2: In a medium-size bowl, place the dry ingredients and combine them well.
Step 3: To the dry ingredients, add the buttermilk and stir until you have formed a moist dough.
Step 4: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Once melted, pour it into an 8 x 8-inch or 9 x 9-inch baking dish. To ensure the butter does not drip out of the pan, use a not too small or shallow pan.
Step 5: Put the dough on top of the melted butter and spread it across the pan using a spatula until the dough touches the sides of the pan.
Step 6: Into 9 even squares, slice the unbaked dough. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake the dough for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Step 7: Remove from the oven when done and enjoy the biscuits for either breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Pair these biscuits with any meal, or enjoy them with a raspberry jam.
