This Bubble Up Pizza Recipe is another one of my new favourite easy and quick recipes. Using only five ingredients and the toppings of your choice, you’ll be able to whip this up anytime! And do not forget to ask the kids to help out, I’m pretty sure they’ll have a blast!
So what’s the secret behind the success of this bubble-up pizza? It’s canned biscuits! Cut them up and be amazed at how they bubble up when cooking. Thick dough topped with your choice of toppings and more cheese! Nothing is more exciting than melty cheese, right? We super love this pizza, so I make sure to stock up on the ingredients. You can even play around and assemble the pizza using different toppings. I usually make two flavours in one.
Ingredients
2 Cans of Biscuits (cheap plan ones will do)
1 Jar of pizza sauce Bought or homemade (or use 2 small cans of tomato sauce with Italian seasoning)
2 c. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 c. Shredded Cheddar Cheese optional
Pizza toppings any that you like such as pepperoni
How to make Bubble Up Pizza
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees. And using a nonstick spray, grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Step 2: After opening the biscuits, cut them into fourths using a pizza cutter. And to the bottom of the prepared pan, place the biscuits.
Step 3: Over the biscuits, pour the pizza sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Feel free to add your favourite pizza toppings, such as pepperoni. Over the pizza toppings, sprinkle a little cheddar cheese.
Step 4: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 to 35 minutes until the biscuits have bubbled up. Remove from the oven when done and allow the pizza to sit for at least 5 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
