I have plans of inviting my friends this weekend. It has been a while since we’ve seen each other. I have been busy, so I thought of spending my time off with family and friends. I missed cooking, so I plan on making my favourite recipes. One of them is this Broccoli Cauliflower Salad. Technically, I don’t have to open the stove, just turn the oven on to crisp the bacon while I prep the rest of the ingredients. I’ll tell you, it’s the easiest and quickest side you can make with just a few simple ingredients. You can even assemble this the night before, place it in the fridge to chill, then serve the next day.
Ingredients
1/2 pound bacon cooked
1 head cauliflower, chopped
1 head broccoli, chopped
1 c. sour cream
1 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
How to make Broccoli Cauliflower Salad
Step 1: In a large bowl, place the broccoli, cauliflower, bacon, and shredded cheese. Mix well.
Step 2: Whisk the mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, and salt in a small bowl until well incorporated.
Step 3: Over the broccoli mixture, pour the mayonnaise mixture. Stir well until everything is mixed.
Step 4: Serve the salad right away or chill if not yet serving. Enjoy!
