Blooming Quesadilla Ring

by Rebecca October 12, 2020

Servings: 20

This is super amusing and insanely easy to make! Everyone was impressed by the blooming ring display of our favourite quesadillas. A fun way to serve quesadillas on Taco Tuesday. Always a huge hit!

Ingredients

3 cups cooked and shredded chicken(375 g)

1 onion, chopped

1 red bell pepper, chopped

1 jalapeño, chopped

1 cup taco sauce(260 g)

20 taco-size tortillas

3 cups shredded cheddar cheese(300 g)

3 cups shredded Monterey jack cheese(300 g)

How to make Blooming Quesadilla Ring

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F or 190 degrees C.

Step 2: Use a parchment paper to line a baking sheet.

Step 3: Combine the chicken, onion, red bell pepper, jalapeno, and taco sauce in a large bowl. Set aside.

Step 4: Slice the tortillas in half and place around 2 tbsp of cheddar cheese, Monterey jack cheese, and chicken mixture on each slice.

Step 5: Starting from the cut edge, carefully roll the tortillas into cones. Note not to push the ingredients out of the tortilla.

Step 6: In the middle of the baking sheet, place a wide mouth jar or glass. Make a ring around it with about 13 tortilla ones, the points facing the centre, touching the jar or glass.

Step 7: Sprinkle over the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.

Step 8: Do the same for the rest of the cones, making 2 more layers. Top it off with the remaining cheddar and Monterey Jack. Once done, take the jar or glass out.

Step 9: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the edges are crispy.

Step 10: Remove from the oven and carefully transfer it into a serving plate. Placing your desired dip inside the ring. Garnish with your fancied toppings.

Step 11: Serve immediately. Enjoy!
