I lost my mind when I first tasted this BBQ Chicken. The perfectly juicy bite and the smokey and sweet flavour of the chicken are to die for! With just a handful of ingredients, you sure can easily and quickly make this in the oven.

Ingredients

1 kg chicken thighs and legs With skin and bone-in

1 tsp Garlic Powder

½ tsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Paprika

½ tsp Salt

¼ tsp Pepper

¾ c. BBQ Sauce

How to make Best BBQ Chicken in Oven

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F. And using foil, line a baking tray and set it aside.

Step 2: Using a kitchen towel, pat dries the chicken.

Step 3: Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl.

Step 4: On the prepared tray, arrange the chicken a little apart. Generously season both sides of the chicken pieces with the seasoning mix. Make sure to keep the chicken pieces skin-side-up.

Step 5: Place in the middle rack of the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes. Take the tray out of the oven, then adjust the oven heat to 425 degrees F.

Step 6: With BBQ sauce, generously brush each chicken piece. Return the tray to the oven and resume baking for another 10 minutes.

Step 7: Coat the chicken pieces again with the BBQ sauce and bake for 10 minutes more until the juices run clear and the internal temperature of the chicken reached 165 degrees F.

Step 8: If you want an extra charred effect on the chicken skin, put the tray to the upper rack and broil the chicken for at least 2 to 3 minutes.

Notes:

Avoid contaminating the BBQ sauce. Make sure to consume everything. Or divide and put the other half of the sauce in another bowl.

You can add a tbsp of apple cider vinegar to the bottled BBQ sauce if it is too sweet for you.
