Barbeque Chicken Pizza

PREP TIME: 10 MINS | COOK TIME: 15 MINS | TOTAL TIME: 25 MINS | SERVINGS: 4 PEOPLE

I love homemade pizza. They are the best thing! I can easily customize it to my liking, and they are super fun to make. I particularly enjoy this Barbecue Chicken Pizza. It is made with bbq sauce, mozzarella, chicken, red onions, and cilantro, and I can throw this together in minutes! If anyone asks me what is my most favourite, I will tell them without blinking that this Barbecue Chicken Pizza is the one! Never have a boring pizza night with this super fine homemade Barbecue Chicken Pizza!

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. cooked chicken, shredded rotisserie, or about 2 chicken breasts

Dough for one large pizza

1/4 large red onion very thinly sliced

2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

fresh cilantro to taste

1/2 c. barbecue sauce

How to make Barbeque Chicken Pizza

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 450 degrees F.

Step 2: Ready your pizza dough and prebake for about 6 minutes.

Step 3: Over the pre-baked pizza crust, spread a thin layer of BBQ sauce and top with a thin layer of mozzarella cheese, then sliced red onion.

Step 4: To a bowl, add the shredded rotisserie chicken and top with a couple of tbsp of BBQ sauce. Mix well, then spread this on top of the chicken pieces.

Step 5: On top of the pizza, sprinkle another thin layer of cheese. To taste, scatter some chopped cilantro on top.

Step 6: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Step 7: Remove from the oven when done and serve right away. Enjoy!

Notes:

To make this pizza a day ahead, just roll the dough out and bake for about 6 minutes, then top with toppings. Cover the pizza well with plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge until ready to bake.
